| MacPherson named manager of month St Mirren's Gus MacPherson has been named Clydesdale Bank manager of the month in the Scottish Premier League.
MacPherson steered Saints to victories over Rangers and Hamilton Accies as the Buddies climbed to ninth in the table.
The Saints defeated Rangers at Love Street for the first time in 22 years and suffered a late loss against Dundee United at Tannadice last Saturday.
"It's something you're delighted to accept on behalf of so many other people," said MacPherson.
The Saints manager praised his squad for their efforts this season and revealed that the club was performing well despite few resources.
"We have staff who sit in a minibus on the morning with portable goals tied to the roof, trying to find an area for us to train," he said.
"It's been very difficult in the last month with the weather. We suffer more than most and so it's credit to the players for working under difficult circumstances on a daily basis."
