Wright regrets slap at Nakamura

Frazer Wright regrets slapping Celtic's Shunsuke Nakamura but believes the incident during Kilmarnock's 3-1 defeat last month was blown out of proportion.

Wright reacted petulantly after Nakamura had been awarded a penalty.

"I think it was blown out of proportion a wee bit, but I know I shouldn't have done what I did," said the defender.

"I was out-paced by Samaras for the second goal and then, to lose a penalty the way we did, my emotions just got the better of me."

Wright vowed that there would be no repeat of the altercation when the two sides meet again in the quarter-finals of the Co-operative Insurance Cup later this month.

"I've not spoken to him about it, but I'm sure I'll be able to do that when we play Celtic in the cup in a few weeks," added Wright.

"Hopefully it will be forgotten about, but you know what fans are like, they will probably bring it up. I'm not going to do it again anyway."

If it had been the other way round or a Rangers player that was thrown to the ground & whacked across the head, we would never hear the last of it & about how Celtic should be punished. But it's funny how nothing was said in the media. Poor Naka looked totaly bemused.

I bet he regrets he didn't hit him harder.
He's a dirty, diving, cheating, b*st@rd.
(But I'm not holding a grudge).

And quite right too.
It's a mans game.
All divers and cheating b*st@rds should receive yellow cards for EVERY offense.
Twice and they're off, (obviously).
Referees are not good enough or have enough bottle to send a player off for diving.

He was totally bemused because he couldn't believe the ref had given a penalty either!

Brilliantly brought down by McFadden.
He's going for GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL.
James McFadden scores the best goal he's scored for his country.
Absolutely sensational.
The top corner is tickled with the ball.
Scotland are tickled pink in Paris.

Totaly agree mate. I don't care who it is!

(Don't think Naka dived in this instance though)

It happens every week in every league.

Ronaldo at Man Yoooo has a "slight" habit of diving and watched Spurs v Bolton on Saturday and Bent dived for the penalty.

It has got to be stamped out. I'm talking bookings, sendings off, fines etc, etc.

(OK - rant over!!!)
