| Robbo lands Derry job John Robertson has been named as the new manager of Derry City.
The former Hearts and Inverness boss has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at the Brandywell.
Robertson replaces Pat Fenlon at the helm at the eircom league side after Fenlon failed to recapture the success of Stephen Kenny at Derry.
Hearts legend Robertson is looking forward to getting back into management and he is relishing the challenge at the Irish outfit.
"Derry City have a big reputation in Scotland, particularly after their exploits in Europe last season," said Robertson.
"It's a bit of a mystery why they are sitting mid-table as they obviously have so many quality players. I want to get them back playing the sort of football that I myself would want to go and see.
"I want 100 per cent from them and they'll certainly get 100 per cent from me.
"Under Stephen Kenny they showed they were a good team and they still have that ability. We have to get back to those standards.
"Mid-table is not good enough for a team like Derry."
