Sounds like it would cost more than it's worth to have it restored. Even if spares were available, it's impossible to return them to their former condition. Once they get to a certain age, it's more economical to trade them in (or just dump them on a quiet backroad) & get a more recent model. It's amazing what options are available nowadays & for a modest outlay there're are some real bargains on the market. But you have to be prepared to shop around. Don't just take the first one that comes on offer & don't be afraid to ask for extra's. There are some realy good consumer oriented magazines that give you an idea of what's available within your budget.
